Hello families! Spring is finally beginning to make an appearance and with spring comes a busy time of year for us!
Below is a list of important dates and information that I hope you find helpful about each of our upcoming assignments and events.
1.) Glog Comments due 4/16
I hope you have enjoyed looking at this fun, innovative online tool that your child used to display their research! I am asking that at least one parent make a comment on your child's glog and your child has been assigned three classmates in which they are to make meaningful comments on their glogs.
2.) NYS ELA Exam 4/16, 4/17, 4/18
Well, the time has come...we will be taking the ELA exam first thing on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. They will last about 70 minutes each day. I ask that you make sure your child gets a good night sleep and eat a decent breakfast each morning. We will not be having snack until the completion of the test each day.
3.) Non-fiction Writing Assignment due 4/23
Your child's non-fiction writing assignment is due no later than 4/23. Thank you for your assistance with this assignment.
4.) NYS Math Exam 4/24, 4/25, 4/26
The tests will take place first thing on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. They will last about 70 minutes each day. Again, please try to have your child get a good night sleep and eat a decent breakfast. Snack will occur after the tests are completed.
5.) Wax Museum 4/26
We have been working hard on our first person narrative essays and will be writing our final drafts. We will learn about timelines this week and make a timeline representing the most important dates in our person's life.
Please note that we are not limiting the amount of guests for our museum. All are welcome!
Homework for the weeks of 4/15 and 4/22:
I will be requiring the 20 minutes of reading each night and will only have spelling homework during the next two weeks. This week in spelling is our review week so therefore there is no spelling story due on Tuesday.
